Hansabuss Hired 165 New Drivers for This Service!

                                                                                                The Informal Meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers, which took place in Tallinn, Estonia on April 22 and 23, was serviced by Hansabuss, GPN’s partner in Estonia.  Hansabuss was the sole transportation provider for this event. 

Planning for the event began in October of 2009, and the main team consisted of Hansabuss, the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Estonian Police.  Hansabuss had to hire 165 new drivers, who drove 162 different vehicles.  They logged an impressive 8.000 working hours.

Hansabuss is proud to have provided transportation for such an important world-class event.  The staff learned a lot from this experience, and is ready to take on even bigger challenges in the future!

GPN, the Network of the Best Bus Companies in the World, Proves its Mettle 

For the last 3 years, since its inception in July of 2006, Global Passenger Network, the organization that brings together the best bus companies in the world, has been constantly improving its international products and services.  The recent events caused by the volcanic eruption in Iceland has given GPN its first real chance to prove itself as a globally-acting network. 

In the two hours after the crisis began, GPN was able to coordinate from a central point coach activities in all areas of Europe and other regions, such as Asia.  Within hours, GPN received hundreds of requests for help from all corners of the world.  A small and efficient team of GPN specialists, experienced in logistics and all aspects of bus travel, coordinated help for stranded clients through its national member companies, utilizing a wide variety of vehicles, from minivans to minibuses to Gran Turismo coaches.  The practice of transfer optimization, or the filling of empty legs, long a GPN specialty, was especially helpful in this situation. 

Through this experience, GPN has been able to successfully implement policies put in place by the Board of Directors in the last 2 years, including: a 24-hour response time, guaranteed high quality and standards and strict adherence to the EU regulations regarding driving times and security.  Our member companies have demonstrated that they can serve the needs of various clients, including large international clients, within just a few hours, even in an emergency situation.  As the travel industry gets back on its feet after these difficult days, GPN will further develop its position as the network offering the best bus service in the world.

Hansabuss offered full transportation solutions in two world-class events

Firstly, in the middle of January, 17.01 – 24.01.2010, Hansabuss did a cooperation with Estonian Skating Union by offering a full transportation for the European Figure Skating Championships Tallinn 2010. There were a lot of work to do, but all went well and smoothly. We were really satisfied with our clients and they were satisfied with us. It was our pleasure to be a partner for such a prestige event.

 Secondly, Hansabuss also served the International Rail Forum “Strategic Partnership 1520: The Baltic Sea Region” which took place in Tallinn in February 2010. Our client was Russian Railways, so it required us a very professional international cooperation. And we did and offered it!

In December, GPN U.K./CoachMarque provided excellent service to a Dutch radio station holding a Christmas function in London.  Anderson Travel, CoachMarque’s London member, weathered snow and traffic to give the high standard of service they are famous for providing, making sure the client did not suffer from delays due to bad weather.  The services included airport transfers and dinner services, both in town cars and buses.  GPN is proud of its U.K. network members, which always go above and beyond to provide the best service for their clients, no matter what the conditions.

Cartour (GPN Spain) Implements Swine Flu Prevention Protocol

From October the 1st, CAR TOUR will take the following measures in order to reduce, limit and contain the risk of spread of the disease:

a)      A strict internal protocol will be implemented so as to prevent and control the Swine Flu. A person in charge will be named with the main duty of being in constant contact with the Sanitary Authorities as well as with all our clients, giving and receiving any information required and/or needed.

b)      Daily inner cleanliness of our coaches will be redoubled and our staff will take care of carrying out an exhaustive cleanliness applying most disinfecting products.

c)      Handrails, railings, etc. of each coach will be cleaned with appropriate products at least 3 times a day. Likewise cleanliness of heating/air conditioning’s filters will be doubled. Wastepaper bins will be thrown away and cleaned frequently (with appropriate gloves).

d)      As an additional measure antiseptic dispensers have been installed in all our coaches at both doorways – front and rear- in order that our clients can clean their hands whenever they may require. The hand sanitizer/antiseptic that we are providing is the one used by the sanitary staff (doctors and nurses) to wash their hands. (Laboratory certified at your disposal).

e)      Likewise all our coaches have an adequate supply of surgical paper masks (discardable after use) which our drivers will give, without any additional cost, to any passenger who require it.
