Exploring the Future of Bus Travel: Global Passenger Network's Visit to Busworld 2023

Every two years, the Global Passenger Network (GPN) eagerly anticipates the Busworld trade show in Brussels, Belgium. This event is not just a routine visit for GPN; it’s a golden opportunity to delve into the latest trends, products, and initiatives in the ever-evolving bus industry. This year, from October 7th to 12th, GPN’s delegation, along with several members and partners, made their way to the heart of Europe to attend Busworld 2023.

For GPN, the Busworld trade show is more than just a series of exhibition stands and product displays. It’s a chance to reconnect with industry leaders, explore groundbreaking innovations, and foster relationships with strategic and alliance partners. This year was no exception, as GPN’s delegation made their way to the stands of several vital partners, including Adastec, IVECO, Scania, Daimler, VDL, Dafo, DAF, Van Hool, and Green Energy.

These visits provided a valuable opportunity to understand the strategies, innovations, and future plans of these key players who shape the bus industry. By engaging in meaningful conversations and discussions, the GPN delegation gained deep insights into how these companies are shaping the future of bus travel.

Busworld isn’t just about booth visits. The trade show offers a comprehensive package that includes thought-provoking conferences. During their time in Brussels, GPN’s delegation actively participated in various conferences that delved into market trends, challenges, and the latest innovations.

Agnes Pastuszak, the Chairman of GPN, shared her thoughts on the event, saying, “It was a great opportunity to meet again with all these companies that are the supply chain of the bus industry and play such an important role in shaping the future. It was very insightful to be presented with their strategy for the next years and how they plan to move forward, what their innovations are, where they will focus. It was truly beneficial for our delegation to take part in this trade show and all the activities organized especially for GPN members and partners.”

As Busworld 2023 came to a close, GPN’s delegation left Brussels armed with new knowledge, fresh insights, and strengthened partnerships. The trade show continues to be a pivotal event for GPN, facilitating their ongoing journey to be at the forefront of the ever-evolving bus industry.
