10 coach operators, each from a different country, decided in 2006 to make a bold change in the industry, uniting their forces to offer better services to clients across multiple countries. The idea was simple – to create a worldwide network of coach operators, that are offering services at the highest standards. The principles were simple – let’s make sure we have a partnership between coach operators that have all the vehicles at the latest standards, that have the safety of the passengers as the most important mission and to encourage an environmentally friendly way to travel. Obviously, the philosophy of GPN has evolved since then, but the basics remain the same. Now we are 42 members, from 5 continents and we are proud to have counted 29 Bi-Annual General Meetings already!

Even what you’d think is obvious is being reviewed to the last detail: The coach operators need to have a fleet of vehicles properly maintained, have drivers rigorously selected – and even if the drivers have uniforms.

And since the mission is to make sure the client has the best experience while working with us, all GPN members have a 24-hour helpline for emergency cases and all vehicles are equipped with mobile communication systems.

To further enhance this and protect the environment, our members have adjusted their processes in their entire business operations and have been accredited with ISO 14001 certification, implementing environmental management systems with multiple benefits – including the improvement of resource efficiency, reducing waste, measurement of environmental impact and improving it overall.
