HIGH PROFILE VDL DOUBLE DECK COACHES FOR BUS ÉIREANN
Bus Éireann is currently taking delivery of 8 VDL double deck coaches. These will be used for Expressway services and are the largest intercity coaches operated by Bus Éireann.
Synergy SDD-141
The VDL Synergy luxury double deck coach is available in two different lengths. The vehicles supplied to Bus Éireann are the 14 metre version, powered by a DAF MX 340 engine through a ZF AS-Tronic automatic gearbox. They have excellent wheelchair access through the mid door by means of a manual folding ramp. The vehicles are also equipped with destination equipment, a payment table, a ticket machine, a full CCTV system, wifi, power sockets and upgraded seating.

It operates Expressway (intercity) services on over 30 routes linking large towns and cities across Ireland, as well as city bus services in the four main regional cities, Cork, Waterford, Limerick and Galway, as well as Commuter, Town and Rural services. The new VDL double deck coaches will operate on Expressway inter-city routes.
