A driver of our GPN’s Spanish member, Cartour, is awarded with the prize “The best world driver with Japanese tourists 2011-2012”

José Antonio Carpintero, Cartour’s driver, received on 30th August the award “Best Driver Around the World for Japanese Tourists for 2011-2012 season”. This prize is promoted by JTB World Vacations, Tour Operator which has its headquarters in Tokyo and offices all around the world.

JTB is one of the major outbound tour operators in the Japanese tourist market and handles most of tourist packages coming from this country. The goal of this campaign is to reward drivers for their good job and professional quality. JTB considers them as his business partners, as they are, together with the Japanese interpreters, those who have the direct contact with the customers and so, they are the main image of the company.

The choice has been done at international level, between more than one 1,000 drivers worldwide, compiling all the reports issued by clients and tour leaders in each JTB’s travels (reports about driver’s behavior and professionalism along all the season).

The award was delivered to Cartour’s driver by the JTB’s Operations Manager in JTB’s Spain, Hiroko Tsuchiya. The event took place in the headoffice of our Spanish member at Global Passenger Network, Cartour, located in Madrid and several Jose Antonio Carpintero’s colleagues, friends and family attended in the event.
