Milestone for VDL Bus & Coach in Switzerland

VDL Bus & Coach (Suisse) recently delivered its 100th VDL coach to Twerenbold Reisen AG.This Swiss coach operator from Baden-Rütihof has been a loyal customer for years, first via the former VDL BOVA and now via VDL Bus & Coach. The complete order consisted of 10 new luxury coaches outfitted in what is referred to as the King’s and Comfort Class. By developing the King’s Class, Twerenbold, with more than 115 years in the business, has set new standards for coach travel in Switzerland.

New VDL Futura FHD2

Twerenbold ordered 6 FHD2-122/410 New Futuras equipped with the King’s Class package. The King’s Class is distinguished by such features as a luxurious 2+1 seating arrangement and seat spacing of no less than 90 cm.

With these 6 New Futuras, more 50 percent of the company’s fleet now consists King’s Class Twerenbold coaches. The order also included 4 additional New Futuras, of the Comfort Class: 2 FHD2-129/410s and 2 FHD2-139/460s, with 48+1+1 and 56+1+1 seating respectively. All the New Futuras were delivered in the spring of 2012.

The first journey made by the King’s Class Futuras was a music trip to Dresden, where the accompanying, unique photo was taken.
