Ard Romers new Director VDL Bus & Coach Netherlands
Effective 1 April 2015, Ard Romers is the new Director of VDL Bus & Coach Nederland bv. He succeeds Willem van der Leegte, who has served in this capacity alongside his duties as Deputy Director at the head office of VDL Groep since 2012. Ard is responsible for sales and after-sales support of the VDL Bus & Coach product range in the Netherlands.
Ard Romers
Ard Romers (48 years old) has worked at VDL ETG since 1 April 1992, at that time it was still Philips Machinefabrieken. He has held various positions within VDL ETG and has amassed a wide range of experience in the areas of technology, key account management, business development, marketing and sales. In his most recent position, as Vice President Sales Asia, he worked in Singapore where he was responsible for the business development and sales activities of VDL ETG in Asia. In his new position he will lead the Nederland team and have overall responsibility for the sales and service of the VDL buses in the Netherlands.
Willem van der Leegte
Willem van der Leegte has worked at VDL Groep since 2004. Since 2007 he has been the Director of VDL Bus & Coach Nederland. In 2012, he joined the management team of VDL Groep as Deputy Director. To date he has combined these two positions. Effective 1 April 2015 he passes his directorship of VDL Bus & Coach Nederland to Ard Romers and will focus entirely on his position as Deputy Director VDL Groep.
